Are registration fees refundable? No
Why do we have registration fees?
1. Seating is limited:
- We have to know in advance how many people to plan for.
- If…we know far enough in advance, we may…be able to get a larger conference room.
- We have to honor those who register early. Once all the seats are full…then city building code says that legally we have to turn people away.
2. We have expenses – The hosting organization has quite a few expenses to take care of in order to put on a successful conference. These expenses are incurred even if only a few people show up for the conference. Below is a partial list of expenses to the hosting organization:
- Airfare round trip for guest minister(s)
- Car mileage expense (or rental car) if not by airplane
- Overnight hotel expense for guest minister
- Guest meals at restaurant
- Conference room rental
- Conference room setup charge
- Conference room microphone
- Conference room sound system
- Conference room tables for guest minister CD’s DVD’s
- Conference room table for food
- Food at conference – bagels and juice
- Food supplies – cups, plates, napkins, plastic knives
- Local advertising to churches, people, etc.
- Website expenses to advertise conferences,
- Upload new conference schedules,
- Upload conference results – video of testimonies, etc. so people know what to expect
- Camcorder equipment to capture testimonies
- Camcorder person to do video footage
- Etc., Etc.
